A travel writer for traveler magazines Chloe Day (Nathalie Kelley) finds herself in Malta to write a story about the Hotel Optima, she has her friend and photographer Sara Webb (Patti Murin) on hand to help her bring the story to life.
On the first night Chloe found it hard to sleep and looking out the window she noticed a body fall from the balcony above her room. She heard an argument earlier and now someone is dead therefore making her the only witness. With the FBI involved, Chloe finds herself stuck in the case and on a mystery to solving the crime.
